It was crazy. David Clancy (yes, there is a Clancy) knew it even before he signed the legal documents in August 2005.  However, he was tired of pub franchisers and their business practices that now dominate the Southern Ontario pub business.

David's original experience in the pub business was working with
a GTA pub franchiser that his chartered accounting firm was
instrumental in financing. Through this experience he
came to realise that a truly great pub is really about community

  At Clancy's Pub we feel great that people are
responding positively to this special place as their own.

It’s not about just selling food and beer, but
about the enjoyable experience, thus the “FUN” in our title.
