Neville Mutsvangwa’s trial fails

The trial of Neville Mutsvangwa, son of Zanu-PF spokesman Christopher Mutsvangwa and Women’s Affairs Minister Monica Mutsvangwa, did not continue on Wednesday.

The case of Neville, who faces charges of illegal foreign exchange transactions and money laundering, along with Simbarashe Tichingana and Elis Majachani, has been postponed until August 28.

The state cited incomplete investigations as the reason for the delay. Neville also faces a separate charge of violating the Telecommunications Act after he was allegedly found with an illegal Starlink router.

In another case, M’diwa Chanetsa, daughter of politician and village chief Temba Mliswa, is accused of illegal possession of methamphetamine. Her trial, which also involves Tawanda Chigudu, is scheduled to begin on July 29. Police found the drugs on them during a raid in Avonlea, Harare.
