Plane passenger makes starting realization after spotting suitcases left on tarmac

A plane passenger has captured the moment he made a startling realization just moments before take-off. Alberto was stunned when he saw two suitcases left behind on the tarmac and snapped pictures of him from his window seat.

He then recognized they were his family’s bags. The blunder happened at Barajas airport in Madrid, Spain, Alberto explained.

“At Barajas, about to take off, I look out the window and see two suitcases lying on the runway,” I posted online last weekend.

“I tell my aunt, ‘Look, they dropped two suitcases.’ And she says, ‘They look like mine and grandma’s.’ Well, guess what…”

As if that weren’t enough, Alberto went on: “And my grandma’s suitcase with a two-kilo cheese is lying on the runway at Barajas, baking in the 30C sun. I can’t handle this.”

Despite departing without their luggage on board, Alberto said he managed to see the funny side. The man and his family were eventually delivered their forgotten bags at their destination in La Manga, What’s The Jam reports.

“They’re back home. And against all odds: the cheese is fine,” he said on Monday. “This time it wasn’t two kilos, but it turns out it wasn’t traveling alone either.

“There was also a bag of padrón peppers and two chorizos sunbathing among the plans at Barajas.”
