Man arrested for cocaine possession in Oshakati – Top Story 1

Police arrested a man (37) in Oshakati after he was allegedly found in possession of cocaine on Friday.

Oshana police spokesman Chief Inspector Thomas Aiyambo said the man was arrested after law enforcement officers received information about a suspect who was selling and in possession of cocaine.

He said the man had 106 grams of cocaine hidden between his legs at the time of his arrest.

Aiyambo said the confiscated cocaine is estimated to have a street value of N$53,000.

He said the suspect is Burundian and is expected to be charged on Saturday.

He is due to appear in the Oshakati Magistrates Court on Monday.
