New Apple iPhone 16 Pro design leaks, hinting at eye-catching upgrade

The iPhone 15 comes in five colors, some of them pale, some of them brighter. But the Pro versions are all subdued hues, designed to make the most of the new titanium edge. All well and good, but what if you want something brighter? A new report claims the upcoming Pro iPhones may have something you like.

According to a new report from OvO Baby Sauce OvO, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max launching this fall will have a new color, called Rose. That font is relatively new, but it’s gaining traction, and the claim matches up with previous reports, according to MacRumors.

ForbesExactly when will Apple launch the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro?

Note that this is pink, not rose gold, which has been an iPhone color in the past, though not yet for a Pro model.

Previously, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had suggested that the current Titanium Blue color would be dropped this fall and a new Titanium Pink option would appear in its place. So this new report corroborates that.

There have also been reports that the iPhone 16 Pro will use the same color infusion process found in the iPhone 15. This has resulted in hues that are subtle and pale – in some lights it’s difficult to distinguish yellow, green, and blue.

But there is one option that really shines, that really catches the eye, and that is the pink version. In that case, perhaps the pink hue of the iPhone 16 Pro will be equally striking.

The fifth color of the iPhone 15, by the way, is black, which is obviously not an eye-catching shade on any phone.

As for the iPhone 16 Pro series, it’s likely that regardless of what they’re called, the shades will be different from the current models, if only subtly. Apple likes to update its lineup annually, with subtle changes even if the name remains the same; even the PRODUCT(RED) shades have changed in consecutive years.

The iPhone 16 series is already rumored to replace yellow with white, leaving the other four shades of black, green, blue, and pink in place.

We don’t know how different and striking a pink phone with a titanium edge will be. We’ll find out in less than two months.
