Gospel musician Dorcas Moyo has firmly addressed rumours circulating about her engagement.

It was recently reported that the singer had gotten engaged.

The photos sparked speculation about the engagement

Speculation began after she posted a series of photos on Facebook that appeared to show her in the middle of a romantic proposal.

The pictures, which show a man in a black suit and bow tie proposing to Moyo on one knee, sparked a huge buzz among fans. Moyo, dressed elegantly in a navy off-the-shoulder dress, was seen at various stages of the proposal, including one where she proudly showed off an engagement ring.

The post was accompanied by the caption: “Finally…”, leading many to believe that she had just gotten engaged.

However, Dorcas Moyo decided to clear things up and denied the engagement rumors circulating on social media.

Speaking to The Herald, she revealed that the photos she posted are from a scene from her upcoming video “Ndinako Kutenda”.

The video, which is set to be released this weekend, features Dorcas Moyo as the girlfriend and Diamond FM’s Lampy as her suitor.

In this video, I acted as a housemaid who had found a life partner. Lampy from Diamond FM acted as the one proposing to me,” she explained.

Posting a preview of her music video on her Facebook, Dorcas Moyo wrote:

“All I know is that I love you mese🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣….iyeye newe nauyo…mese ndokudai…. Stay tuned, it will be out in the blink of an eye… Don’t be left behind…. Video loading!!!!.”

Maintaining privacy

While Moyo clarified the nature of the photos, she stressed her preference for privacy regarding her personal life.

“I’m one of those people who has been through a lot, but I prefer some privacy in that regard. Right now, I’m concentrating on my music career,” she added.
