Jealous boyfriend stabs his married lover for cheating on him

Hungwe is alleged to have seen Mapungwana flirting with another man, identified as Givie, at the Nhedziwa Business Centre, where Mapungwana operates a hawker stall.

Driven by jealousy, Hungwe then followed Mapungwana to her home and confronted her about her alleged relationship with Givie.

When Mapungwana told Hungwe that she was going to end their illicit relationship, he allegedly stabbed her several times, leaving her with serious injuries. The victim is currently fighting for her life at Mutambara Mission Hospital.

To add insult to injury, Hungwe had the audacity to call Mapungwana’s husband and tell him that he had stabbed his wife for cheating on her.

The acting spokesperson for the Zimbabwe Republic Police in Manicaland Province confirmed the incident to The Manicaland Post. He said:

Hungwe and Mapungwana were lovers having an extramarital affair, and all hell broke loose when the former questioned the latter for flirting and allegedly dating another man.

He said he saw a man identified only as Givie giving him a plate of sadza at his food stall.

On that fateful day, at around 7pm, Hungwe went to Mapungwana’s house, interrogated her and accused her of being promiscuous. An altercation ensued and the woman decided to end the relationship.

This did not sit well with Hungwe, who pulled out a knife and brutally stabbed Mapungwana in the head, breasts, hands, thighs and back.

Hungwe took Mapungwana’s cellphone and called her husband to tell him she had been stabbed by a boyfriend she was fighting with. He disappeared from the scene.
