Mbalula defends GNU and criticises those who oppose the union

CAPE TOWN – The African National Congress says it is unfazed by insults directed at the Government of National Unity.

The party says that those who are against the GNU are against a democratic and prosperous country.

Speaking at a press conference in the Mother City, Mbalula stressed the importance of social employment in creating sustainable livelihoods.

The briefing comes after the opening of parliament on Thursday, where President Cyril Ramaphosa outlined plans for the country going forward.
