National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula has called on Azimio co-directors to support the national unity government formed by President William Ruto.

On Thursday, his party NARC Kenya issued a notice to withdraw from the Azimio coalition Umoja One Kenya.

Karua said in a tweet on X: “Our tenure with Azimio The Umoja One Kenya Alliance is no longer sustainable.”

The official notification of the divorce was communicated in a letter addressed to the coalition’s Secretary General, Junet Mohammed, by the acting Secretary General, Asha Bashir.

“We kindly ask you to take note that our continued presence in Azimio Umoja One Kenya Coalition is not sustainable given the current political developments,” he said.

“By this letter, we as Narc Kenya are giving notice of our withdrawal from the Coalition as stipulated in the withdrawal clause(s) of the Coalition Agreement. This notification is effective from the date of this letter,” he added.
