JOHANNESBURG – The weather has played a major role in the rise in the price of oranges.

Estimates from the Southern African Citrus Growers Association show a further reduction in orange exports for the 2024 season.

The weather has not been favorable, with drier and warmer conditions reducing fruit size.

Lately some areas have suffered frost.
