Felon Pleads Guilty to Kidnapping of 3 Women in Orange County

A felon has pleaded guilty and been sentenced to seven years to life in prison for the kidnapping of three women in 1994 in Orange County, according to court records obtained Wednesday.

Cesar Landa Castillo, 49, pleaded guilty Tuesday to three felony counts of kidnapping to commit robbery. As part of the plea deal, two criminal counts of rape were dismissed.

Castillo admitted in his plea deal that on Nov. 17, 1994, he kidnapped a woman with the intent to rob her, and on Dec. 16, 1994, he kidnapped another woman with the intent to rape her, and on Dec. 20, 1994, he kidnapped a third woman with the attempt to rape her, according to court records.
