Nearly 15 years after they split, the Gallagher brothers have announced that they are reuniting their band Oasis for a series of concerts in the UK and Ireland next year.

“The guns have fallen silent,” Oasis wrote on its website, referring to past tensions between the Noel Gallagher brothers. “The stars are aligned. The great wait is over. Come and see it. It won’t be televised.”

The Gallaghers said they will perform 14 concerts in the UK and Ireland in July and August next year, with other continents to follow later in the year.

Tickets go on sale this Saturday at 9am UK time and 8am Irish Standard Time, the band said.

Oasis broke up on August 28, 2009, although the Gallagher brothers remained tumultuous relationship for decades. Their relationship has been marred by physical and legal battles, verbal confrontations and their frequent and sudden departures from the band.
