The city of Lewisville announced Tuesday that Ashley McBryde and Chris Young will headline the annual Western Days festival, held September 27 and 28 in Old Town Lewisville.

Ashley McBryde will headline Friday night, taking to the Republic Services Main Stage at 10pm.

“Hailed by The New York Times as ‘country’s most down-to-earth songwriter,’ Ashley McBryde made her mark playing country songs in biker bars — and it shows,” the city said in a statement. “The Grammy, CMA and ACM award winner has become a standout artist, with her powerful performances and genuine connection earning her countless sold-out shows across the U.S. and Europe.”

Featuring hits like the RIAA Platinum-certified “One Night Standards,” Platinum-certified No. 1 “Never Wanted To Be That Girl” featuring Carly Pearce and Gold-certified “A Little Dive Bar in Dahlonega,” Grand Ole Opry member The Devil I Know’s latest critically acclaimed album includes the lead single “Light On In The Kitchen” and her current single “The Devil I Know.”

Saturday’s headliner is Chris Young, who will close the festival weekend at 10pm on the Republic Services Main Stage.

“Young, the multi-platinum global entertainer, has amassed an impressive list of accomplishments, including membership in the iconic Grand Ole Opry, more than 5 billion on-demand streams, 13 career No. 1 singles, 25 R.IAA certified projects, numerous ACM, AMA, CMA and Grammy nominations, as well as wins for Performance of the Year and Collaborative Video of the Year at the CMT Music Awards,” the city said. “These milestones and more propelled the RCA Records Nashville artist to Billboard’s top country artists of the decade.”

Young, who has been called “one of the finest traditionalists of his time” by the Associated Press, is an international ambassador for country music, performing to packed houses around the world, the city said in a press release. With a hit-packed set highlighting his 13 chart-topping hits, including back-to-back No. 1s “Famous Friends” and “At the End of a Bar,” the Grammy- and ACM-nominated singer’s most recent headlining tour played to more than 400,000 fans in three countries.
