Real Madrid vs Las Palmas player ratings: Where is the real Kylian Mbappe? Another wayward attacker missing as Los Blancos stumble to disappointing draw

The France captain failed to score for the third consecutive match, leading to a disappointing draw against Real Madrid.

This is not the Kylian Mbappe that Real Madrid were promised. Los Blancos’ big signing was absent for a third game in a row, failing to make an impact in a forgettable 1-1 draw with Las Palmas.

The home side made an early push and took a 1-0 lead. Oli McBurnie created the lead with a sliding pass and Alberto Moleiro ended it with a calm finish into the bottom corner. For a long time it looked as if Madrid had forgotten how to pass the ball. They were a disjointed team in the first half and deservedly trailed at half-time.

Carlo Ancelotti’s team equalized in the 68th minute, when Vinicius Jr. fired a penalty into the net after a mishandled penalty in the box. And they never really created a clear chance from there. Mbappe shot wide a couple of times. Vinicius dribbled and cut, but to no avail.

Towards the end of the game, the three big names in Ancelotti’s attack were in dispute, frustrated figures as the league favourite dropped points for the second time in three games.
