LeBron James’ wife Savannah was against his return to the Cleveland Cavaliers

Every Cleveland Cavaliers fan remembers the day LeBron James chose to return to the team and leave the Miami Heat. It was a great day to be a Cavaliers fan. The whole city was overjoyed with the news.

Still, not everyone was thrilled with James taking his talents to Cleveland.

In a recent interview, Savannah James, James’ wife, indicated that she was against the decision to return to the Cavaliers.

Savannah had started creating a life and building a circle in Miami, and when she found out LeBron was coming back to Cleveland, that life got a little disrupted.

“And then LeBron said, ‘I’m taking my talents back to Cleveland,’ I was like, ‘No, I don’t want to go back.'”

Despite Savannah not wanting to return to the city, James decided to move anyway. Although she did not want to go back, she chose to support her husband and the two moved together.

A big part of the reason behind James’ decision to return to the Cavaliers was his promise to bring a championship to the city, and he was able to do just that in his second tenure with the franchise.

LeBron spoke about his return to Cleveland and why he made that decision.

“I came back for a reason. I came back to bring a championship to our city. I knew what I could do. I knew what I had learned over the last few years, that I was gone, and when I came back, I knew I had the right ingredients and the right blueprint to take this franchise back to a place we’ve never been. That’s what it was all about.”

All Cavaliers fans agree that they are glad LeBron finally returned to the team. It was painful to see him leave again to join the Los Angeles Lakers, but he did deliver on his promise of a championship.
