Beyonce’s French manicure is thick and so Y2K

Beyoncé recently showed off a thick French manicure that is undoubtedly Y2K-inspired. Queen Bey showed off her beautiful set of oval French tips for the new SirDavis American Whiskey promo, which she shared on her Instagram. The manicure, which made the extension of the white tips longer and more prominent, covered most of the natural pink base of her nails. With Beyoncé wearing the most classic manicure from the 2000s, it looks like this is going to be the new trend for Fall 2024.

Beyoncé debuts oval French manicure in new photos

Beyoncé showed off her deep oval French manicure in new photos from her SirDavis American Whiskey promo. According to nail artist Kinaya Haug, French nail tips are considered classic because they give the nail a natural yet enhanced shape. According to Essence Magazine, Haug said, “They look very fresh and clean and give your nails a very ‘clean girl aesthetic’ look.”

The French manicure has undergone several reinventions in recent decades. With Beyoncé debuting the chunky French nail tips, the unique Y2K French nails appear to have been “revived” for this season. The nail artist added, “Everyone is loving the Y2K aesthetic, so the chunky French tips are making a comeback.”

In the new promo photos, the 43-year-old singer exuded a “boss-lady-meets-cowboy” energy. She also went for the ’70s-inspired platinum blonde hair and her signature caramel-colored, glossy makeup. Additionally, the combination of winged eyeliner, a full gloss lip, and macro-tipped French nails elevated Beyoncé’s look.

While talking about the classic manicure, Kinaya Haug further added, “I have people who love a little bit of micro-French.” The nail artist continued, “I have people who love a French throwback with the majority of the nails white.” For Beyoncé, Y2K style French tips might just become her new signature style.
