Rodents and unsafe food are causing three restaurants in the Sawgrass Mills shopping center to be closed for inspection

Rodent droppings and food that had to be thrown away caused a state inspector to close three food businesses in the Sawgrass Mills shopping center on Friday.

The inspection hat trick across the street from the Florida Panthers arena failed two weeks after rodent problems closed eight restaurants in a food court at a Palm Beach County shopping center. Sunrise’s trio also involved a Sbarro.

All three Sawgrass Mills restaurants passed re-inspection the next day, which doesn’t necessarily mean the rodents left or were exterminated. It means that the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation inspector did not view the rodent droppings as evidence of the presence of rodents.
