USMNT vs. Mexico, 2024 Friendlies: Community Player Ratings

Mauricio Pochettino was introduced to the US-Mexico rivalry, complete with plenty of chippiness, strong fouls and palpable dislike between the teams in a friendly match. Mexico were largely dominant, with the US struggling to pose or build in the first half before Raul Jimenez opened the scoring with a fantastic shot after an Aiden Morris error just outside the box. Matt Turner managed to reach his fingertips but was unable to do so on the shot that curled into the top right corner. The US would give up a second goal shortly in the second half after yet another goal and some shaky defending. There weren’t many bright spots this evening as the US found it difficult to build possession and recorded only one shot on target on the evening, making it a bit challenging to identify a man of the match and presumably lead to a number of low player scores. .

However, instead of giving you our player ratings, we want to know what you think. Below is a rating form you can fill out with ratings for each USMNT player’s performance. After a day/night of voting, we will tabulate and announce the ratings, with the highest rated player being named Stars and Stripes FC’s Man of the Match. Feel free to head over to the comments section and leave your thoughts on the match as a whole or provide a detailed explanation of your ratings.
