Gasoline prices remain lower due to tax cuts at the pumps…

It’s another week of relief for motorists and gasoline consumers in Georgia as gasoline prices drop as weather temperatures also drop in the weeks of fall.

The AAA of Georgia website reports that the average price for unleaded regular gasoline statewide has fallen four cents from a week ago, to $2.70 per gallon (as of Monday).

Hall County’s average price (as of Monday) is $2.60 per gallon, with the lowest prices in northeast Georgia in Towns County at $2.47 per gallon and the highest average price in White County, at $2 .78 per gallon.

Nationally, the average price rose two cents this week to $3.20 per gallon, but still remains four cents lower than the price a month ago.

Gas demand rose from 8.52 million barrels per day to 9.65 million barrels per day last week, according to new data from the Energy Information Administration (EIA). Meanwhile, total domestic gas inventories fell from 221.2 million barrels to 214.9 million, while gas production increased last week to an average of 10.2 million barrels per day.
