Finally, real fall weather arrives in Dallas-Fort Worth today

A powerful fall cold front has arrived! Temperatures on Wednesday morning will start off quite cold, with widespread temperatures in the 40s and 50s. A strong northeasterly wind makes it feel even cooler. Cool conditions will continue throughout the day with sunny skies. For a change, temperatures will be well below normal, with afternoon highs in the mid to upper 60s. (The normal high is 79).

Thursday will start off even cooler with lows in the mid 40s. Parts of Northeast Texas could get above 30! Temperatures will climb nicely into the 70s. A gradual warming trend can be expected by the weekend, with highs returning to around 80 degrees.

With no immediate rain chances on the horizon, fire danger will be elevated to high this week. The combination of low humidity, dry conditions and windy weather can quickly cause grass fires.
