One of Toronto’s largest winter markets is having a Taylor Swift-themed day

For those who have an affinity for shopping local and love a handmade piece, the famous and beloved One of a Kind Winter Show returns to Toronto this November.

For 75 years, one of North America’s largest craft markets has taken over the city, and this season you can expect “more than 600 Canadian artisans.”

With everything from complete furniture sets to homemade baked goods, the shopping spree is definitely the place to find some gifts this holiday season.

In the ‘One of a Kind’ way

With an emphasis on Canadian branding and ‘small business shopping’, the show was an important platform for artisans to connect with a significant audience.

“At One of a Kind, we champion creativity by bringing a community together to share ideas, stories and unique creations,” says director Janice Leung. “We strive to create an environment that supports our local talent while inspiring visitors to celebrate their individuality and creative expression.”

The market will also pay it forward this giving season by collecting donations to support the Daily Bread Food Bank, which provides stable shellfish food products to more than 200 programs across the GTA.

The Swiftie Day

While many shoppers will be distracted by the numerous, unique vendors, this year will also mark a big year for the city’s Swifities.

With the announcement of Taylor Swift’s Era’s Tour and multiple dates in Toronto, much of the city has been counting down the days for the pop star’s grand entrance.

Of course, many companies are also ready to capitalize on the Swfitie craze, and the One of a Kind Show is no exception.

Among the many ‘Theme Days’ at the show this year is one aptly called the ‘One of Kind Winter Market (Taylor’s Version)’.

On November 22, fans of the musical phenomenon can experience all things Taylor Swift at the market. This only takes place on one day, so be sure to mark that on the calendar. AActivities include free friendship bracelets, a friendship bracelet decorating workshop and a Taylor-themed silent disco.

The festivities will also feature a performance by Afterglow, one of Toronto’s most popular Taylor Swift tribute bands. There will be Taylor-themed food available that day, such as the singer’s favorite combination: chicken tenders and ranch.

Other theme days

The market will also include other themes such as ‘Silver Monday’ on November 25, and on November 26 ‘One of a Kind Community Day’ will be an opportunity for local artists to come in and discuss the prospect of displaying their artwork set. next year.

Then you can use ‘Transit Wednesday’ to redeem your PRESTO card for a discount on adult tickets on November 27. And finally, on November 28, ‘Unique after-hours: après-ski‘ will have the market open until 11pm for a nighttime experience.

Location & Date

Located in the Enercare Center at Exhibition Place (100 Princes’ Blvd.), the market opens on November 21 and runs until December 1.

Tickets

Adult tickets currently cost $20, while college students receive a discount on admission prices of $16. All tickets can be purchased during the event at the box office and on the show’s official website.
