Tank Dell: Everyone needs to step up with Stefon Diggs out

It was announced Tuesday that Texans wide receiver Stefon Diggs will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL and that his absence will force other members of the team to carry a bigger burden the rest of the way.

One of those players is Tank Dell, who entered the season as part of a trio at the top of the depth chart with Diggs and Nico Collins. Collins is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury, so Dell will be up front against the Jets on Thursday night and he said Tuesday that Diggs told him he wants the second-year wideout to “get the job done.”

“Once you lose one of your star players, it’s the same for everyone must quit,” Dell said, via KPRC’s Aaron Wilson. “Even if you are one of the star players, you still have to go one step further and do more and produce more. I know we are all more than capable of that. So we’re going to try to go out there and make plays.

Dell isn’t the only player who will be asked to do more, but he has done more than the other wideouts this season and the passing game’s ability to continue producing at a high level will have a lot to do with how good he is. plays Thursday and in the future.
