Houston running back Joe Mixon ran for a 3-yard touchdown run to cap a 14-play, 98-yard second-quarter drive at the New York Jets.

His consistently productive start to the 2024 regular season continued in the first half Thursday night in New Jersey.

With 3:21 left in the second quarter, the veteran running back drove left into the end zone for a three-yard touchdown run in the Texans’ game against the Jets.

It was the 14th play of a 98-yard drive that saw the Texans melt 8:23 off the game clock.

For Mixon, it was his 15th carry of the game, giving him 85 yards in the game.

It was also his sixth scoring run of 2024.

Ka’imi Fairbairn’s extra point gave the Texans a 7-0 lead.

Mixon had three runs of 10 yards or more in the half, including a 29-yarder.
