Patriots DT noticed something different about Jets QB Aaron Rodgers

New England Patriots defensive tackle Davon Godchaux noticed something different about New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers during the Patriots’ 25-22 victory on Sunday.

The defensive tackle noticed that the legendary quarterback was not moving the same as normal.

All told, Rodgers still had a solid game under center. He went 17 of 28 passing for 233 yards and two touchdowns on the afternoon. Still, New England made the Jets’ offense work for every point, and they were able to pressure the quarterback a few times.

Godchaux had three tackles in that game and he played a big role in containing the Jets’ run game. He also noticed that Rodgers didn’t seem like himself in terms of mobility, as transcribed by MassLive’s Mark Daniels.

“Hall of Fame quarterback,” Godchaux said. “I hate to see him go out like that… He definitely doesn’t look the same. He kept moving there – (expletive) I was able to run him over and catch him. He doesn’t look mobile at all. That’s good for us.”

The Patriots earned their second win of the season on Sunday, thanks to some late-game heroics and consistent defensive pressure. You might wonder if this match will be a springboard for the rest of the season.
