Will Kawhi Leonard play tonight? Injury report for Clippers vs Suns

The LA Clippers return to the field on Thursday night for the second night of a back-to-back matchup against the Phoenix Suns. After a brutal loss to an inferior Trail Blazers team on Wednesday, the Clippers are still looking for their first home win at Intuit Dome and will need to be at the top of their game to have a chance at beating the Phoenix Suns to dethrone.

This will be the second time in eight nights that LA will take on Phoenix within the friendly confines of Intuit Dome. On October 23, the Clippers opened their regular season against the Suns, barely losing a close game in overtime. The fanbase is clearly begging the team to win a game at home to get that monkey off their back, but Phoenix will be far from a cakewalk.

Last time against the Suns, the Clippers surprised everyone by leading for most of the second half before the visitors got back into the game. Since then, Phoenix has suffered a narrow loss on the road to the Los Angeles Lakers before posting home wins against the Dallas Mavericks and Lakers. The Clippers need Kawhi Leonard on Thursday to have the best chance at their first win at the Intuit Dome.

After not playing the entire preseason and regular season thus far, Clipper nation is still eagerly awaiting the return of Kawhi Leonard. The latest update for the fanbase was given by Ty Lue on Tuesday. He confirmed that Leonard would be out for the next two games, but provided no further information.

This obviously means that Kawhi’s status was confirmed as OUT for both of the Trail Blazers-Suns back-to-back games at home. There is speculation that Leonard will miss several weeks after Thursday night, so he will likely remain out until at least early to mid-November.

As previously mentioned, Kawhi Leonard (knee) is out for LA against Phoenix. Also confirmed are Mo Bamba (knee) and PJ Tucker (not with team). The Clippers are still looking for suitors who may be interested in acquiring Tucker in a potential trade.

Josh Okogie (hamstring) is out for the Suns. Bradley Beal (elbow) is questionable. Beal missed Phoenix’s Saturday game with Dallas but was able to prepare for their Monday game against the Lakers.
