DJ Envy called for daughter’s “Cringe” Lil Kim Halloween costume

What was meant to be a fun Halloween moment for the Casey family has led to many dad, DJ Envy, getting side-eyed for allowing his young daughter to dress up as “Crush On You” Lil Kim for Halloween.

The post itself is innocent enough and contains The Breakfast Club co-hosted FaceTiming with the Brooklyn icon himself, who gave the youngster her full approval with her signature colorful looks from the 1997 video, which featured appearances from Uncle Luke, Aaliyah, Sheek Louch and more.

The clip is also costume accurate, with Envy’s daughter wearing similar wigs and furs, as well as a daring red bodysuit. She then lip-syncs Kim’s lyrics, including “I’ll undress in a bra, all see-through” and “All I wanna do is drive you crazy,” though she does cover her mouth as the more explicit lines are recited. . Cardi B took to Envy’s comments section with a supportive message, writing, “She took the assignment very seriously, SHE EAT THAT!!!” while Lil Scrappy added, “The baby became the best actor in a movie, that did them.”

However, most followers found the costume and song choice inappropriate given its explicit nature.

“I could understand it if your wife played Kim, but your daughter? Real? This is KRAZY,” wrote VH1’s Walt Black ink crewwhile another observer writes: “This is gross and inappropriate to have your child out here dressing like this and rapping for the world to see…”

“Dope concept. Wrong delivery. #cringe” one uneasy follower offered,” while another added: “I don’t know any decent parents who would be okay with their daughter being in an outfit like that at the age of 8…very inappropriate…”
