Ana Navarro becomes shocked by Patti LuPone’s potential witchcraft skills

Before Patti LuPone played an ancient Sicilian witch in “Agatha All Along,” she knew she might be a Sicilian witch. So did the show’s creator, Jac Schaeffer. But The View host Ana Navarro was a bit shocked by that idea Friday morning.

While visiting the ABC talk show in support of her current Broadway show, LuPone was asked what attracted her to the character of Lilia Calderu and her story. The actress noted that she was on board almost from the first pitch, especially since Lilia was a fortune-telling witch.

“I think I’m a Sicilian witch because I have precognition. And I’ve had it all my life,” LuPone explained. “I’ve known something was going to happen before it happened, and I’ve always wanted to check out the Duke Institute of Parapsychology to really understand what this is, because it’s becoming more acute as I get older.”

When she started to remember getting the actual call from Marvel, Navarro interrupted her with some concern.

“Okay, now you’re worried about me,” she said, prompting a huge laugh from LuPone. “I was good with you until then.”

However, LuPone quickly consoled Navarro, explaining that it is something she believes anyone can do.

“We have it all. The question is whether we recognize it or not,” she said.

“The View” airs weekdays at 11 a.m. ET on ABC.
