Best Ashton Jeanty prop bet and DFS pick for Friday: A Bounce back on tap tonight?

Boise State’s College Football Playoff hopes live on after a nail-biting win over UNLV. Ashton Jeanty was clearly dealing with an injury, but still impressed when it mattered most, scoring the game-winning touchdown in the fourth quarter.

A performance of 128 yards and one touchdown is exceptional for most players. For Jeanty, it was a step back from the numbers he’s been posting all season.

Jeanty needs a much better stat line tonight against San Diego State to avoid losing more ground in the Heisman odds race. Check out my best Jeanty prop bet and DFS pick if you’re looking for bets to place on SDSU vs. Boise State.

Ashton Jeanty’s Best Player Bet for SDSU vs. Boise State

First touchdown scorer

Chances: +155 odds at DraftKings

This is one of the few Jeanty touchdown scorer props with decent odds. At DraftKings he is -4000 to score every point, -250 to score 2+ TDs and +115 to score 3+ TDs.

Bet365 has +120 odds for Jeanty to score the final touchdown, but with the Boise State spread -24, Jeanty may not play the entire game if the Broncos are big. Especially after he suffered an arm injury in last week’s win.

The Heisman hopeful has scored the first touchdown in just three of Boise State’s seven games. However, Jeanty’s 18 rushing touchdowns rank second nationally, and he is the best option when the Broncos reach the red zone.

Jeanty has 19 touchdowns this year, while the rest of the Broncos have 20. San Diego State has given up just 10 rushing touchdowns, but there have been four in the last three games.

Jeanty is a threat to cross the goal line even when Boise State is outside the red zone. He has eight touchdown runs of more than 50 yards.

San Diego State has struggled to stop the rush, a recipe for disaster against the nation’s top RB.

Top Ashton Jeanty DFS pick for SDSU vs. Boise State

Under 12.5 receiving yards at Underdog fantasy

Jeanty recording less than 12.5 receiving yards isn’t the most exciting market to bet on. Underdog has higher/lower rushing yards at 189.5, which is also an attractive bet.

Jeanty is averaging 196 rushing yards per game and has rushed for over 190 yards in four games. SDSU has one of the worst run defenses in the Mountain West, allowing almost 160 yards per game.

However, I prefer to go lower on Jeanty’s receiving yards because Boise State rarely uses him in the passing attack. He has just twelve receptions on the year, with a season high of twenty receiving yards.

Remove the 20-yard performance and Jeanty has gone under 12 yards in every game this season. He had eight or fewer receiving yards in each of the Broncos’ first five games.

Jeanty got banged up last week and had a season-low 3.9 yards per carry. If his arm injury persists, it could be safer to move Ashton lower than his receiving total.
