Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix breathes new life into the game’s previous map with Artist Takeovers

Fortnite players have post-Halloween surprises waiting for them every week this month. The game is bringing back the Chapter 2 map last seen in 2021, but launching it with a Remix twist that will see music artists take over parts of the map throughout November.

Announced by Epic Games at a Times Square event on Friday, the event kicks off today with a Snoop Dogg takeover for the first week, including the transformation of an area formerly known as ‘The Agency’ into ‘The Dogg Pound’. The takeover also extends to weapons, with the Boogie Bomb item playing ‘Drop It Like It’s Hot’. Snoop Dogg will also be the featured artist in Fortnite Festival, the rhythm game mode on the platform.

The second week will feature Eminem, with the rapper sporting a similar look to his “Houdini” music video. A Mom’s Spaghetti restaurant, referencing the famous line in the artist’s song “Lose Yourself” that itself became a restaurant in Detroit, Michigan, will also be added to the menu.

The third week features Ice Spice, which will provide a decorative look at Shark Island on the map. And the final week of the event will feature the late Jared “Juice WRLD” Higgins, with Epic mentioning that they worked with the artist’s next of kin and mother to create the experience that will be unveiled later this month. Players who log in to the game’s finale on November 30 will receive a free cel-shaded outfit commemorating Higgins.
