Sixteen teams continue to compete for a state championship in each of Iowa’s seven high school football classes. The Iowa High School Athletic Association released updated postseason links Saturday morning.

For this phase, the teams in each class are grouped into four groups of four. The winners of the November 1 matches will play in the quarter-finals the following week. Those winners will advance to the state semifinals at the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls, where they will once again be seeded.

The Class 5A field was determined solely by RPI. Class 4A and Class 3A district champions and runners-up advanced automatically, and at-large qualifiers earned bids through RPI.

This is the second round of the postseason for 2A, 1A, A and 8-player teams. Here’s a look at the scores and more details from their first-round matches Friday night.

Here you will find the round of 16 pairs and pods for each class. The matches start on Friday, November 1 at 7:00 PM, unless otherwise stated.
