Most of Virginia is in full swing of fall, some are almost over

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – Virginia has reached peak fall foliage for visitors and residents to witness the beautiful colors of fall, while some areas have passed their peak.

The higher regions in Virginia are starting to pass their peak, but they are still seeing color from trees such as maples, hickories, oaks and more.

Fall foliage is near peak color in Nelson County

Areas like the Shenandoah Valley and Piedmont are still in the peak, but will slowly pass over the next week.

The area around the Coastal Plain does not yet have peak foliage, but is expected to peak in color soon.
