Nuggets vs. Timberwolves Prediction: Odds, Expert Picks, Expected Starting Lineups, Betting Trends & Stats

The Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Timberwolves meet for a possible preview of the Western Conference playoffs.

Denver is 2-2 on the season, winning two straight OT games after two straight losses. The Nuggets defeated the Raptors 127-125 in OT and the Nets 144-139 in OT. Denver had two days off prior to this game to refocus on the final game of a three-game road trip.

Minnesota is 2-2 and coming off a 120-114 loss to the Dallas Mavericks. This is the final game of a three-game homestand for Minnesota and like Denver, they’ve had two days off, so the rest is neutral. Anthony Edwards had 37 points in the last game, but 24 of them came in the first quarter.

NBC Sportsbook Best Bet

Vaughn Dalzell (@VmoneySports) likes Russell Westbrook going over his 6.5 rebounds + assists against Minnesota:

“Westbrook is averaging 5.3 potential assists per game and 6.0 rebound chances per game, so on the face of it, getting seven-plus combined rebounds and assists on 11.3 chances isn’t a good bet.

However, Westbrook had seven potential assists in the last game (five converted), while only having four total rebound opportunities (one converted). His chances for assists have steadily increased and that will happen as he develops chemistry with his new teammates. As far as rebounding goes, Westbrook will always fight for boards and Denver will need guard help rebounding against Minnesota.

Westbrook has hit the Over two out of four times with this prop, but I like the 20+ minute opportunities and faster pace when he’s in it. With a rebound above 7.5 and assists I would need at least +125 to consider.”
