Sting discusses reinventing his sound in another threesome as he revisits his iconic hits. “It’s not the police, but it’s a threesome that brings a lot of clarity and freedom,” he explains, emphasizing that the stripped-down configuration allows him and his bandmates to explore songs in ways that large ensembles wouldn’t.

Highlights of his setlist include deep cuts that longtime fans love. Still, Sting remains thoughtful in his choices, noting that while older songs like “History Will Teach Us Nothing” spark curiosity, he doesn’t always bring them back without reason. “I actually don’t believe that history teaches us anything; rather, it is an invitation to think,” he admits, offering a glimpse into his layered approach to songwriting and performing.

Sting also teased his now-confirmed collaboration with Dr. Dre and Snopp Dogg by saying, “If Dre says I’m on his album, it must be true.” Although he was cagey about details, the excitement was unmistakable. As he continues his 3.0 tour (get tickets here), Sting proves his drive to experiment and evolve is as fierce as ever, offering fans a fresh take on the music that made him a legend.
