$1 million winning Mega Millions ticket sold in Michigan for drawing on 05/24/24

LANSING, MI – A lucky lottery player in Michigan won a $1 million prize in the Mega Millions drawing held on Tuesday, November 5. The winner matched all five white numbers drawn — 2-24-25-52-58 — to win the $1 million prize.

The winning ticket was sold at the Wayne Med Mart, located at 417 S. Wayne Rd, Westland.

The winner now has one year from the drawing date to register and claim the prize. The winner is asked to contact the Michigan Lottery’s Player Relations Division at 1-844-917-6325 to schedule an appointment to claim the money. The prize must be claimed at the lottery headquarters in Lansing.

The latest Michigan players to win a Mega Millions or Powerball jackpot are the Breakfast Club lottery club that claimed an $842 million jackpot in June 2024. The members plan to use the money to buy a house in Florida and travel.

And while they were the lucky winners, it’s smart for players to check their tickets immediately, as a $1 million Mega Millions winner sold in Southfield in 2023 went unclaimed. The money instead went to the state’s School Aid Fund.
