Veterans Day restaurant deals, including free meals and coffee on Monday in Chicago, nationwide

Some restaurant chains operating in Chicago and across the country are offering Veterans Day specials on Monday.

Most require proof of service, such as some form of veteran, military or service member identification such as a veteran ID card or DD214 card showing time in service. Many offerings are limited to on-site dining.

Among the offers:

Starbucks: Free coffee

Veterans, service members and military spouses can get a free “long” 12-ounce brewed coffee, hot or iced, at participating Starbucks stores on Monday. Cold Brew is not included.

Buffalo Wild Wings: free wings

Veterans and current members of the armed forces with valid ID can get 10 free boneless wings and fries on Monday. The offer is valid for dine-in only and, if ordering from a Buffalo Wild Wings Go location, for walk-in and counter orders.

Applebee’s: Free menu

Veterans and active-duty military, reserves and National Guard can get a free meal at Applebee’s on Monday from a Veterans Day menu that includes a 6-ounce sirloin, “Classic Bacon Cheeseburger” and “Double Crunch Shrimp.”

Chili’s: Free entrance

Veterans and active military personnel can receive a free entrée from a Veterans Day menu, excluding drinks.

Bar Louie: free burger
