A stormy Sunday on the road with a mix of snow and rain

BOISE, Idaho – Saturday had nice skies but cool temperatures. As we head into your Sunday we have rain/snow mixes and increasing winds moving into Idaho.

The entire system will move in overnight, bringing heavy precipitation to most of the Gem State. The activity doesn’t really start until Sunday morning with a chance of a mix of rain and snow before 11 a.m., then turning mostly to rain as the day warms up. Precipitation will continue into the early part of the week, dissipating on Tuesday and returning on Wednesday with light showers expected on Thursday and Friday.

Temperatures in the Treasure Valley will cool to the upper 30s on Tuesday, but we’ll warm back up to the 50s on Thursday. We may see a cooling trend after next weekend as it looks like another low pressure system will move through the Pacific Northwest.

Get out the coats and umbrellas for tomorrow. It will be damp and cold.
