This year’s 75-foot Norway Spruce will be decorated with 50,000 multicolored LED lights and a 900-pound Swarovski star topper. The tree will be illuminated for the first time on Wednesday, December 4 during the Christmas at Rockefeller Center special broadcast on NBC. Kelly Clarkson hosts and performs alongside the Backstreet Boys, Jennifer Hudson, the Radio City Rockettes and many more big names.

Who will perform at the Rockefeller tree lighting in 2024?

Kelly Clarkson will once again host the Christmas at Rockefeller Center special, featuring an array of artists including Clarkson, the Backstreet Boys, Dan + Shay, Megan Hilty, Jennifer Hudson, Coco Jones, Little Big Town, RAYE, Thali and the Radio City Rockettes.

This year’s Rockefeller Christmas tree is a Norway Spruce from West Stockbridge, Massachusetts. The tree was planted in 1967 by Earl Albert and his late wife Leslie. It is 23 meters high and 13 meters wide. It will be adorned with 50,000 multi-coloured LED lights and adorned with a £900 Swarovski star topper crafted with 3 million crystals and 70 spikes.

How long will the Rockefeller Christmas tree stay up?

For those who want to see the tree in person, the Rockefeller Christmas Tree will be on display until mid-January 2025. The tree is lit between 5am and midnight every day, except on Christmas Eve when it will burn for 24 hours. .

After the tree is removed, it is ground into lumber for Habitat for Humanity.
